There are currently 32 different occupations in Mafia42, with more to be added in the future. The occupations are categorized into three teams, the Mafia, the Citizens and the Cult. Players are randomly divided into Mafia and Citizen teams and assigned different occupations; the Cult faction only appears in a game that has 9 or more players, and its only starting member is the Cult Leader.
Roles
Every game has one Cop or Vigilante (duel-only), one Doctor, and one or more Mafiosos. The composition of the Mafia team varies depending on the number of players in a game.
